The Sturdy Tote Bundle

This classic pattern comes from Merchant & Mills, the Sturdy Tote.

A sturdy, lined tote bag with 3 inner pockets. It's very roomy as you can see from the images. The oil cloth was a dream to sew and the finished tote has a soft buttery finish.

Recommendations from Merchant and Mills when sewing oil cloth:

* Use a size 90 needle with a 'Sew All' thread
* Avoid pressing
* Mark with tailors chalk or pencil

All seam allowances are 1cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - beginner friendly

Fabric Suggestions - oilskin, dry oilskin, mid-heavy weight cotton canvas or drill, mid weight denim (8-14oz). For linings - mid-weight woven cotton.
